The Ministry of Foreign Affairs publishes travel advice on her website (https://www.nederlandwereldwijd.nl/reizen/reisadviezen) concerning health risks due to COVID-19 to certain countries/regions, based on the recommendation of the RIVM (Government Institute for Public Health and Environment). When a code orange is indicated, the advice is to travel to that destination only for strict necessary purposes. And also when the colour code is yellow, risks exists and travellers are requested to be vigilant.
Although travel organizations and airlines take various precautions to prevent the spread of the Coronavirus, a number of organizations still actively promote travel to orange destinations. The Minister of Infrastructure and Water Management, Mrs. Cora van Nieuwenhuizen urges organizations not to actively market travel to these risks destinations and to refer passengers to the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
